Now I will try and be nice, no I wont, after being gazumped with the party room for the 2nd year running and the site fee’s allegedly £25 per night and the general high prices in the pub AND trying to keep the money we paid for a room we did not use I say farewell to the Poacher which unless there is a management change will probably go broke.
Saying that we had a nice meal on Thursday a really good laugh on Friday night playing the Tension game and it was great to see everyone again and catch up. It does highlight the need for somewhere to get together at all times during our weekends whether it be the awning a hall or anywhere but a pub does not work and the decision to move the rally to Bickerton Village Hall is a much better option.
Well done everybody for making the most of the weekend despite the setbacks you are a smashing bunch of people.
